Same-day fresh vegetables and herbs are available in-season from our farm stand, open in May.
We are also members of Lindsay Farmers' Market - our market stand is open Saturday mornings, 7 am-1 pm, from May through October (see below).
CSA shares are also available for the harvest year, with pickup from the Farm or Lindsay Farmers' Market.
LOCATIONS
• Thurston Organic Farm is located at the intersection of #36 and #7 (Sturgeon Rd./Thurstonia Rd. intersection) in the Village of Dunsford, Kawartha Lakes, Ontario (120km/75mi NE of Toronto; half way between Lindsay and Bobcaygeon). The farm stand entrance goes directly into the organic gardens. Check a map.
• Lindsay Farmers' Market is held in downtown Lindsay, Ontario, on Victoria Ave. between Kent St. and Peel St. The Market is open from the first Saturday in May, to the last Saturday in October, 7am-1pm. We are usually there from the second or third Saturday in May, right through to the end (although every year, we try to have fresh goods for the first market day; check the site for this year's progress).

CSA Update |
|
It's 2008 and the new farming year is underway! Sign-ups for 2008 are way ahead of any previous year, with both renewals and new members already in. Share prices have been increased for this season (the first increase since we began four years ago). The season will once again be 18 weeks, beginning around mid-June. This year, you're also encourage to visit the farm at least once, and a new farmwork program is being considered, where you can do some veggie gardening here in the field, in 4-hour blocks, when it's convenient to you. If you're interested in CSA with us for 2008, here are the details for our farm, and the new 2008 printable sign-up form (or email or call for one to be mailed!). And there's more CSA info in the FAQs.
